If new construction, surveyor will need to mark the property lines and provide a proposed certificate of elevation​

if its an existing home, you can mark the lines if you would like to install a fence or just for your knowing purposes

if new construction, a set of permitting plans would need to be drawn to attain a permit​

if its an existing home, and a remodel or addition will be performed on the home, you would still need a set of plans for permitting

On all exterior doors, check your weather seal to be sure it is in tact and is not letting air or rain through.
Hot water heater
Changing the rod in the hot water heater can extend the life of a hot water heater and help prevent you from having to purchase another unit. Check with your local plumber to get this done yearly.
Helpful Ways to Maintain Your Home
Air Conditioner
Your AC unit is constantly working and requires check ups to be sure its functioning at its optimum capacity. Schedule an AC tune-up at least once a year to keep your AC working well and to extend the life your air conditioner unit.
Don't forget!
To change your AC filter 1 to 3 months depending on the filter capacity.
Windows
Yearly, check all of your windows to make sure they are properly sealed on the exterior to help with keeping the envelop of the home in tact preventing drafts and or rain water from damaging anything.
